The Christian Community helps families through tough trials and sets good examples of one might or should live their life. For instance during school at Koolau Students are taught the importance of honesty and are given examples or stories as to why honesty is important and the damage and dangers that come with forsaking it. In much the same way, the North shore community in  Kaiāulu teaches their kids important life lessons such as refraining from talking about fishing to avoid scaring off the fish. They also teach the importance of family values and the consequences fighting has on them.
